WMH Sleep Center Receives National Accreditation

The American Academy of Sleep Medicine recognizes War Memorial Hospital - Jan. 2016
War Memorial Hospital’s Sleep Medicine Center has received a five year accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The following is an excerpt from the letter received with the accreditation.
“The American Academy of Sleep Medicine congratulates War Memorial Sleep Medicine Center on meeting the high standards required for receiving accreditation as a sleep disorders center. War Memorial Sleep Medicine Center is an important resource to the local community and will provide academic and scientific value in addition to the highest quality care for patients suffering from sleep disorders”
To receive accreditation for a five year period, a sleep center must meet or exceed all standards of professional health care as designated by The American Academy of Sleep Medicine. “Passing this accreditation process requires a lot of hard work from our Sleep Center Staff and I commend them all for completing this accreditation process for the WMH Sleep Medicine Center,” explained War Memorial Hospital CEO Dave Jahn. “It is also a benefit for our community and the patients who will use the WMH Sleep Medicine Center in the future and it shows those patients that we have met the rigorous quality of care standards necessary to become an accredited facility.”
