From patient meals to visitor dining, War Memorial Hospital offers a variety of options to satisfy your appetite. WMH puts a priority on fresh products, healthy choices, and happy taste buds.
Your patient dining experience begins with a one-on-one visit from a Food Service Technician, who is trained to help you make choices depending on the medical nutrition plan you physician has ordered for you. Between breakfast and lunch, the Technician will visit each room and take orders for the lunch and dinner meals. These will be delivered to your room around 12:30pm for lunch, and around 5:30pm for dinner. After lunch trays have been collected, the Technician will visit again to help you choose your breakfast for the next day. The breakfasts are served to our patients around 8:30am each day. We can also deliver trays between meals should you be away from your room for testing or in cases where patients are admitted after normal meal service has concluded for the day. Your nursing staff will assist in these arrangements.
Visitors are invited to enjoy meals in the hospital cafeteria, where we offer a 5-week menu cycle and feature a “Well Being” meal that is 550 Calories, less than 15 grams of Fat, and 2-3 grams of Fiber. We also offer a salad bar and two soups to choose from daily. Need something quick? We have many "grab-and-go" options, too.
