Athletic trainers are licensed healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to prevent, diagnose and intervene in emergencies, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations and disabilities. Working with an athletic trainer allows our patients to see significant functional and physical changes.
All the athletic trainers at War Memorial Hospital have Bachelor degrees or higher from accredited colleges or universities. Reflective of the broad base of skills needed for this profession, athletic trainers often continue their education in areas such as clinical athletic training, wellness and health promotion, education, exercise physiology, counseling or health care administration.
